Vineyard & Vintage Character

Winberrie Knolls is crafted from three contiguous vineyard sites that belong to Don and Jenny Hartford’s neighbors. The vineyards are in the heart of the Russian River Valley and were planted in 1906. These old vine plantings are another testament to the long history of amazing Russian River Zinfandels. These vines, trained in the traditional wagon wheel style, are planted on Huichica loam soils. The moderately sloped sites drain well and produce wines with juicy fruit characters and a broad, fruit-driven and silky mouthfeel.
