The 2023 Fog Dance Vineyard Chardonnay waltzes in with showy notes of honeysuckle, candied ginger, and honeydew melon, leading to hints of apple pie and cashew butter. The medium to fullbodied palate delivers a decadent oiliness to the texture with concentrated orchard fruit layers and beautifully knit acidity, finishing long with a spicy kick. 212 cases were made."

Vineyard & Vintage Character

The Fog Dance Vineyard Chardonnay is sourced from our estate-owned, organically farmed vineyard in the Green Valley of the Russian River Valley AVA. This stunningly beautiful vineyard was planted in 1998 with Dijon Chardonnay clone 96 and ENTAV 809 on Goldridge fine sandy loam—a combination of decomposed sandstone and volcanic ash—and soil that’s highly prized by winemakers in this region.

This wine is among our small production, single-vineyard wines, and is named for the dance performed by the Pacific fog that drifts through the vineyards and back again to the sea each day. This wine reflects its cool Green Valley terroir, showing fresh fruit brightness and amazing transparency along with a refined, mineral-driven texture.
